To many, the holiday period is a festival of commerce. A time to spend money on things that are not needed and often unwanted. To eat and drink far too much. A time for each family to waste more food than a Third World family eats in a month. Collectively discarding enough packaging, decorations & gifts to pay a small country's national debt.
