A culture of thoughtless vehicular obstruction.
Who cares about the disabled?

Every day more vehicle drivers are obstructing footpaths, disabled access points & other facilities. It is often thought that when someone enters a car or van they leave their brains behind. Is this true, or are these people just increasingly unconcerned with the safety of others?

Riders of electric wheelchairs & scooters are denied use of access points. Mothers with children are forced out into busy roads. We have laws, but these are increasingly flouted, our Police seem unwilling to act.

We are starting a pictorial record, when time permits it will be extended.

Van A van totally blocking a busy pavement, forcing pedestians into an even busier main road. Photo taken during a brief lull, due to traffic lights. VW

A smart car, but not a smart driver, blocking a busy disabled ramp near a shopping centre. As the driver obviously could not see the bollards, is he or she safe on the road? Honda Ford Two cars blocking pavement access to our local Bank's disabled person's entrance. The street is a fairly busy rat run between two main roads. The Bank's entrance is not clearly visible, it is at the gap on the left, just behind the further car in the lower photo.

He who knows not & knows that he knows not. He is ignorant, teach him:
He who knows & knows that he knows. He is the Boss, obey him:
He who knows not & knows not that he knows not. He is a politician, distrust him.
He who knows & knows not that he knows. He is a floating voter, anchor him.
With apologies to an old proverb.
